EUROPEAN DIGITAL CONTENT TOWARDS YEAR 2005

The eContent programme was adopted by the Council on the 22 December 2000 for a period covering the years 2001 to 2005,
with a budget of 100 MEURO.
In particular, the eContent programme, as part of the eEurope Action Plan, contributes to its third objective:
" [to] stimulate the use of the Internet"

The Commission adopted on the 15t[th] March 2001 the eContent Work Programme covering the actions to be undertaken during the period 2001 - 2002.
Continuous submission scheme for feasibility projects open until 28 May 2004 at 1700. Candidate countries to participate in eContent programme: Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Turkey and Hungary.
